IT in the Lightning Capital of the United States

TeamLogic IT has many clients who need to consider whether to use on-premise or cloud solutions. Given our location as the lightning capital of the US, we receive numerous support calls during the summer due to lightning strikes causing outages. Additionally, hurricanes pose a risk, as we are in the hurricane season.

When working with clients, we conduct business continuity discussions to assess their needs in case of evacuations. One client, a claims adjusting company, requires continuous operation even during emergencies. We have migrated their systems to the cloud but are aware of the potential for power and internet outages. To mitigate these risks, we increasingly recommend migrating clients to either virtual server, cloud, or a data center and colocation arrangement.

Disaster recovery is becoming a crucial aspect of business operations, not only for regulatory compliance but also for ensuring continuity. Regulatory bodies like the SEC, and certainly if you’re operating in the EU, have specific requirements regarding disaster recovery plans. This emphasis on disaster recovery extends beyond healthcare and applies to various industries, emphasizing the need for sound technology practices.

Putting Telecom Into IT

Our entire in-house infrastructure revolves around Microsoft Teams™ which we use for internal chats, file sharing, virtual calls, and even ticketing management through our integrated software. This centralized approach allows our employees to efficiently handle tickets within Teams. Additionally, we have integrated our phone system with Teams, providing a seamless communication experience.

We have observed increasing interest from clients in adopting Microsoft Teams, and one of the initial discussions often involves phone integration. The NUSO Bridge phone integration for Microsoft Teams aligns with the broader trend of consolidating communication and collaboration tools within a single productivity suite.

Microsoft’s productivity suite, including Teams, has significantly impacted the way businesses operate by enabling centralized communication, collaboration, and project management. This consolidation streamlines operations, improves efficiency, and enhances compliance. It allows businesses to easily maintain a record of all communications for historical purposes.

The New Remote Worker

People talk about remote workers, but the image they have in their mind is often a young IT worker sitting at a coffee shop coding. But in reality, remote workers come from various backgrounds and occupations, from plumbers to appraisers. The combination of remote work, increased bandwidth, and powerful technology has the potential to significantly change the way we work.

By offering a comprehensive UCaaS solution that integrates seamlessly with Teams, we can provide significant value to our clients by simplifying their communication and collaboration processes and ensuring compliance.

NUSO Onboarding and Support

We initially chose a different provider but were dissatisfied with their white-label solution. Based on recommendations from other business owners, we decided to try NUSO. Several factors influenced our decision, including competitive pricing, comprehensive feature offerings, excellent technical support, and strong integration capabilities.

“Support is our responsibility, not the customers. We’re not trying to make our clients IT engineers.”

NUSO’s smooth onboarding process was particularly impressive. They assigned a dedicated engineer to work with our team, ensuring a seamless transition and minimizing disruptions. That focus on a smooth onboarding experience is crucial for maintaining client relationships.

NUSO’s commitment to exceptional service is evident in your efforts to remove friction from the process and provide a positive customer experience. NUSO actively addresses any issues that arise and strives to restore operations as quickly as possible.
